Tall Tales and Long Beards KS1 & 2

Exploring  fairy tales and their morals with older children. These stories get children thinking like a story teller as their imaginations  are fired up. These stories are a collection of folk tales from around the world. Stories to pick from:

  • The Ungrateful Tiger (Korea)
  • The Red Shoes (Denmark)
  • The  Monkey and the Crocodile (India)
  • Altyn Argh (Russia)
  • The Boy who cried Wolf (Greece)
  • Anansi and the Pot (West Africa)
  • The Girl and the Condor (Peru)
  • The Apple Star (Germany)

Each story last 30 minutes and comes with an accompanying drama and movement workshop, rounding off the session in an hour. I also have lesson plans to explore the stories further. This project is suitable for years 2, 3 and 4.
